- Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel.
- Assure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work.
- Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety polices.
- Comply with Human Resources policies.
- Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently.
- Observe and report any deficiencies to forward our PM program for effectiveness and possible additions to our program.
- Work closely with our Small Tools Manager and our parts personnel to assure on time delivery of parts.
- This position will be hourly and require overtime as needed.
- Must have sufficient tools to do the job. The company does not provide industry Standard Tools.
- Pickup Truck must be kept clean and orderly.
- Responsible for staying within HOS (hours of service), if applicable
- Responsible for complying with all Trimble/Telogis regulations.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Experience & Education/Certification:
- 3 year field experience repairing construction equipment required.
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to work early mornings, and evenings.
- Must be knowledgeable with all components of construction machinery including but not limited to gasoline and diesel engines .
- Ability to make repair decisions quickly and rationally.
- Expected to keep all sensitive material confidential.
- Able to arrange schedules, recommend machinery to be down for repair as needed, and able to make parts orders.
- Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions.
- Must have ability to work independently and safely.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Basic skills in OXY/Acetylene torch.
- Basic MIG Welding
