For a more departmental breakdown of these responsibilities, please see form AAH-1.1.Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to operate CNC lathes in a production environment. This role focuses on running established programs, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. Machine setup and programming are not requiredDuties/Responsibilities:•Operate CNC lathes using pre-set programs and tooling•Load raw materials into CNC lathe•Unload finished parts and check for dimensional accuracy using tools such as a micrometer, a pitch micrometer, gauge pins, thread gauges, calipers, etc.•Check sealing surfaces for visual defects such as chatter, tool marks, nicks, dings, etc.•Start, stop, and monitor machine cycles to ensure proper operation•Maintain material traceability•Maintain a clean and organized work area•Accurately complete required production and quality documentationRequirements:•Previous experience operating CNC machines. •Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and blueprints•Experience using hand measuring tools, especially micrometers•Strong attention to detail•Dependable attendance and punctualityEducation and Experience:•High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.•Two years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred.Physical Requirements:•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs•Prolonged periods of standing at a machine, wearing PPE such as safety glasses and safety shoes•Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machine areas
