Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the service department
- Schedule and dispatch technicians to ensure efficient use of resources
- Coach, develop, and hold service technicians accountable to performance standards
- Monitor service metrics including response times, productivity, and job completion
- Support consistent service workflows and continuous process improvement
- Partner with operations, accounting, and leadership to align service execution with company goals
- Visit job sites as needed to support technicians, review work quality, and resolve issues
- Order parts and materials for service jobs and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
- Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of service team members
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Other duties as assigned to support service operations
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in a service management or supervisory role
- Experience managing technicians in a service based environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable using service management software and related technology
- Willingness and ability to travel locally to job sites as needed
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership
Preferred Experience
- Experience in service based industries such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical
- Experience with service management software such as Housecall Pro or similar platforms
- Experience supporting a growing or scaling service organization
- Experience coordinating parts, materials, and vendors for service jobs
