The Insulated Glass Line Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the production of insulated glass units (IGUs) for custom aluminum window and door systems. This role ensures that all glass products meet quality, safety, and performance standards while supporting efficient manufacturing workflow.
Second Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Compensation: Typical starting rate is $21/hour but may be higher based on your experience and skill level.

- Operate IG line machinery including glass washers, spacer application systems, gas-fill stations, sealing/press equipment, and quality inspection stations.
- Set up production runs according to daily schedules, work orders, and technical specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and make minor adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Load, handle, and stage glass panes and frame components safely and efficiently.
- Inspect glass for defects such as scratches, chips, contamination, and dimensional inaccuracies.
- Ensure correct spacer size, glass thickness, gas-fill levels, sealant application, and alignment.
- Verify compliance with company quality standards, building codes, and customer specifications.
- Document inspection results and report nonconformities.
- Follow all safety procedures for glass handling, equipment operation, and chemical use (e.g., sealants, desiccants).
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks on IG line machinery.
- Communicate equipment issues to maintenance or supervisory staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Work closely with production leads, glass cutters, aluminum fabrication teams, and shipping personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate material shortages, delays, or quality problems in real time.
- Assist with training new team members on IG line processes and safety practices.
