What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Specialist position at All-Ways Care Services?
One year of experience working with emotional disabilities, mental illness, behavior management and at-risk youth and families and/or education in the mental health field preferred.
Your Role as Youth Specialist:
Mentoring youth; assuming a positive leadership role and example through teaching, coaching, guiding, reminding, demonstrating, and redirecting your mentee. * Implement Person Centered Planning and Behavioral Planning guidelines and protocols. * Communicate effectively to all assigned team members including but not limited to case managers, probation officers, family trainers, or therapists, reporting progress, challenges, incidents, violations, or concerns on a routine basis. * Providing insight into the treatment plan; feedback for areas involving growth, regression, trainings, etc. * Responding to emergency situations including behavioral escalations or medical emergencies as set forth by agency guidelines and treatment plans. * As mandated reporters, you will report any suspected abuse and/or neglect to the proper entities and members per the guidelines set forth. * Assist your assigned youth during community service or volunteer work obligations and endeavors to meet probation requirements. * Always accompany and provide supervision including all community outings to promote socialization, integration, and life skill endeavors.
Most available shifts occur during the evening after school and weekends, however, there is the availability for day-time hours during the summer and other school breaks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
