Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and patient-focused Part-Time, X-Ray Technician to join our urgent care team in El Centro, CA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in urgent care, private practice, emergency medicine, or radiology and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physicians’ orders prior to imaging procedures
- Operate x-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with provider instructions
- Clearly explain procedures to patients and answer any related questions
- Properly position patients, including those with limited mobility, ensuring safety and comfort
- Utilize appropriate shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure
- Collaborate with providers and radiologists to ensure diagnostic quality and determine the need for additional imaging
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly
- Accurately document all imaging procedures and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with general clinic tasks as needed to support providers and staff
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT Certification and current California state licensure (required)
- BLS Certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical x-ray experience (urgent care or ER preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift or move patients and stand for extended periods
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
Schedule Options
- 8-hours , 10-hour shifts, or 12-hour shift
- Rotating shifts depending on clinic needs
