Job Summary
The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation and start-up of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial applications. This role includes new system installations, equipment replacements, ductwork fabrication, and ensuring every project meets quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation systems
- Replace existing systems with new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and related components
- Perform start-up and testing to ensure proper system operation
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on site
- Work with team members to ensure efficient and timely job completion
- Communicate effectively with customers and ensure satisfaction with completed work
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area and vehicle
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience (residential or light commercial)
- EPA 608 Certification (Required)
- NATE Certification (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
