Duties
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing using various financial software such as QuickBooks ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Perform account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Reconcile accounts through detailed account analysis, account reconciliation procedures, and monthly closing activities.
- Assist with budgeting processes by providing financial data analysis and supporting documentation for financial reports.
- Support compliance with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations by preparing relevant reports and documentation.
- Utilize spreadsheets extensively for data entry, financial report writing, and analysis to facilitate clear communication of financial information.
- Collaborate with internal teams on financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, and internal controls to uphold accounting standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting workflows by leveraging technical skills in accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong understanding of corporate or non-profit accounting practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing, including tax experience related to payroll taxes and government reporting requirements.
- Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent), including formula use for account analysis and budgeting support.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform account reconciliation tasks meticulously.
- Effective communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams.
- Bookkeeping experience with a focus on debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping principles is essential.
Pay: $600.00 - $800.00 per week
