Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Powersports Service Writer to join our growing team! In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing in their powersports vehicles—such as motorcycles, ATVs, and side by sides—for service. Your enthusiasm for powersports combined with excellent communication skills will ensure a seamless customer experience. You will accurately document vehicle issues, prepare estimates, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed repair orders and estimates
- Communicate clearly with customers about recommended services, costs, and timelines
- Upsell additional services or accessories that enhance vehicle performance or safety
- Manage customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing exceptional client communication
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and maintain detailed service records
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service writer or advisor within a powersports or automotive dealership environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of powersports vehicles and automotive repair
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various powersports vehicles safely
- Dealership experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for powersports is essential.
