Service/Install Electrical Apprentice (5+ years)

We are seeking a skilled electrical apprentice experienced in residential service and install work to join our team. As a service/install tech, you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks related to service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, and remodel projects in residential settings. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking ownership over their work, client experience and role on the team. This position comes with operating a branded company service van so a clean driving record and active drivers license is imperative.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct service calls to diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and perform necessary repairs in residential properties.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Extensive knowledge of every day electrical parts and equipment and keeping van stocked and materials ready for upcoming projects.
• Typical installs: EV chargers, Main Panel Upgrades, lighting/fan fixtures, dedicated circuits, kitchen and whole home rewire/remodel, conduit bending, etc!
• Collaborate with homeowners, contractors, and project managers to plan and execute electrical installations and remodel projects.
• Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in electrical technology.

Requirements:

• Valid ET Trainee certification issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential electrical service and remodel work.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues efficiently.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
