We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts in accordance with client instructions and accounting procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, records, and documentation, including vendor and customer information, invoices, and receipts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, adjustments, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and file various tax returns, including sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, and other compliance filings, as needed.
- Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, payroll deductions, and employee record maintenance.
- Provide support to clients and internal stakeholders by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing financial analysis and insights.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting required, experience in public accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Peachtree, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing bookkeeping tasks and maintaining financial records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
