Front Desk Duties:
- Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to clients and patients
- Answer phone calls, text messages, and emails.
- Schedule appointments and surgeries
- Handle client inquiries, providing information about clinic services, pricing, and policies.
- Check-in clients, collect their information, update patient records, and ensure accuracy of all data.
- Process payments and invoices.
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment scheduling.
- Maintain cleanliness of the waiting room and exam rooms.
- Provide compassionate support to clients during difficult situations and emergencies.
- Follow clinic protocols for handling sensitive information and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Communicate with medical staff to address client concerns and questions.
- Stay informed about clinic policies, procedures, and promotions.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and empathy in all client interactions.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and uphold the clinic's values and standards.
Preferred Experience (but not mandatory):
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a veterinary clinic or medical setting
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, procedures, and common pet health concerns.
- Proficiency in using veterinary management software systems for appointment scheduling, billing, and patient records management.
Looking for someone with:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience handling cash transactions, processing payments, and managing invoices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

We have two practices located in Jonesborough and Johnson City, Tennessee. Our practice focuses on wellness exams, preventative medicine, diagnostics, general surgeries, and making veterinary medicine affordable for our clientele. In addition to dogs and cats, we treat a variety of exotic pets and some small farm animals. Experience is preferred but not required. An ideal candidate is someone that is adaptable, composed, and has an easy going demeanor.
