What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Glazier / Architectural Glass Installer — Nationwide Travel position at ALL SYSTEMS GO?
All Systems Go is hiring experienced commercial glaziers for nationwide architectural glass and interior wall installation projects.
If you have experience installing storefront, interior glass, aluminum framing, entrances, office fronts, doors, or other commercial glazing systems, your skills translate extremely well to the work we do.
ASG specializes in architectural glass walls, demountable wall systems, office fronts, doors and related commercial interior products. Previous demountable-wall experience is not required. We can teach you the specific systems. We are looking for people who already understand professional glass installation, accurate layout, measurements, finished-product quality, and commercial jobsite expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Install architectural glass wall systems, office fronts, doors, frames and related products
- Lay out openings and wall systems from drawings and field dimensions
- Install glass, aluminum extrusions, channels, frames, hardware and trim
- Measure, level, plumb, square, shim, align and adjust finished installations
- Read plans, elevations, shop drawings and installation instructions
- Use lasers, levels, measuring equipment, hand tools and power tools
- Identify and solve field-condition and fitment problems
- Handle finished glass and architectural materials safely
- Work closely with ASG foremen and installation crews to complete projects efficiently and professionally
The Experience We Want
We are especially interested in candidates with experience in commercial glazing, storefront systems, interior glass, aluminum framing, entrances, curtain wall, office fronts, glass doors or architectural glazing.
Experience with architectural walls, demountable partitions, DIRTT, Steelcase, MAARS, Teknion, Transwall, Infinium or similar systems is a plus, but not required.
You should already be comfortable working independently with measurements, layout, tools, drawings and finished architectural products. This is not an entry-level glass-handler or general-labor position.
Travel the Country
This is a 100% travel position.
ASG performs projects throughout the United States, including Texas, Florida, New York, Louisiana, Washington, California, Georgia and many other states. Crews may routinely be away from home for approximately 4–5 weeks at a time.
For someone who enjoys traveling, this is an opportunity to use your glazing skills on projects around the country instead of reporting to the same local jobsites every week.
Compensation
$27–$33/hour, depending on experience and ability
$100/day travel per diem while assigned to qualifying projects
Overtime opportunities depending on project schedule
ASG provides the opportunity to expand beyond traditional glazing into specialized architectural wall systems, with advancement opportunities for strong installers who can eventually take responsibility for layouts, crews and projects.
