What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales/Customer Service administrator position at All-Stor Self Storage?
At ALL-STOR SELF STORAGE and BORISOW PROPERTIES, you will be the first point of contact for our growing company. The Sales/Front Office Associate will be making our customers feel welcome and helping them find the perfect fit for their storage needs. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide exceptional customer service, aiming to exceed customer’s expectations and address their needs effectively.
- Showing potential customers different size storage units, finding the best size to fit their needs.
- Help guide new customers through the rental process, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions.
- Familiarize yourself with the storage industry to better help potential tenants.
- Receiving payments and selling merchandise through our POS software.
- Assist in property inspections to maintain security, cleanliness, and proper upkeep. This includes checking locks, cleaning units, restocking supplies, and performing light maintenance tasks.
- Make calls to past-due customers, encourage prompt payments, turn over unpaid to collection agencies.
- Keep the storage facilities grounds clean and presentable for all current and future customers.
- Keep the office clean and presentable for all.
- Assist in marketing efforts using Canva and social media platforms.
- Support for office manager/owner, including but not limited to, filing, word processing, and spreadsheets.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs and Sheets.
- Must have computer knowledge and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
- Must be able to problem-solve and be a critical thinker.
- Must have good organizational skills as the office gets very busy at times.
- Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
MUST HAVE:
- Reliable transportation
- Current driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
- Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as rolling carts, ladders, cleaning materials ,roll up doors, and reach overhead.
- Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
- Ability to access and produce information from a computer.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to utilize power tools for general maintenance of property and grounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
