Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks with manual transmission, ensuring safe and efficient driving practices.
- Transport goods using various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while maintaining timely schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws.
Qualifications
- Valid GA commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving principles.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including roll-off trucks and dump trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
