Sales Representative (Project Specialist) Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated self-starter with a proven track record of high performance to join our dynamic roofing and exterior company. In this role, the Project Specialist will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, provide expert consultations to customers, and guide them through selecting exterior solutions tailored to their needs.
Project Specialists are responsible for generating leads, conducting on-site inspections, delivering detailed estimates, and closing sales while building strong, long-term customer relationships.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a professional sales approach, and a solid understanding of construction-related materials and installation processes. Project Specialists will also work closely with leadership to uphold All State Roofing & Exteriors’ core values, mission, and vision while supporting the overall success of the company.

Objectives
- Generate Leads: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Conduct On-Site Inspections: Visit prospective clients' properties to assess project needs, take accurate measurements, identify potential issues, and provide expert solutions.
- Provide Expert Consultations: Educate customers on exterior product options, materials, and solutions tailored to their needs and budget.
- Prepare and Deliver Estimates: Create detailed and accurate project estimates, proposals, and contracts to secure client trust and commitment.
- Close Sales: Execute professional sales strategies to secure projects and achieve performance targets.
- Build Customer Relationships: Establish long-term relationships through excellent service and follow-up after project completion.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with project managers, installation teams, and leadership to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
Capabilities
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and close deals effectively.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with (or ability to quickly learn) roofing systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with timely, accurate follow-up.
- Customer Service Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional service and long-term relationships.
- Time Management & Organization: Ability to manage multiple leads, appointments, and projects efficiently.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and sales tools; accurate daily CRM updates required.
- Self-Motivation: Results-driven with the ability to stay motivated and adapt to challenges.
Experience
- Sales Experience: 1–3 years of proven success in sales, preferably in roofing, construction, or home improvement.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing systems and materials, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proven Performance: Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and generating new business opportunities.
