The Opportunity
ASF is seeking a Quality Manager to serve as the ISO 9001:2015 Management Representative for our Chillicothe, OH and Denton, TX locations. This role will oversee the quality management system, lead PPAP workflows, and support engineering reviews during quoting. The right candidate will combine strong technical aptitude, customer-facing confidence, and proven experience with corrective action methodologies.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Representative for Chillicothe and Denton facilities.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and support transition activities bridging toward ISO 14001.
- Manage PPAP workflow for distributor-level PPAPs: review and validate manufacturer PPAP submissions, ensure accuracy, and forward to customers using required methods.
- Perform engineering reviews for quotes: identify gaps between quoted requirements and customer specifications.
- Lead internal/external audits, management reviews, and risk assessments.
- Manage Corrective Action processes, driving root cause analysis and sustainable corrective measures using 8D methodology and other methods.
- Track, analyze, and report on quality objectives and KPIs.
- Communicate quality issues and resolutions confidently with customers.
- Provide training and coaching on quality processes to employees.
- Collaborate with leadership and parent company to ensure alignment with both ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
- Minimum travel required once per quarter to supporting locations.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years in Quality Management or similar role, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or industrial distribution.
- Experience as a Management Representative for ISO 9001:2015; exposure to ISO 14001 is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, and other automotive quality tools.
- Proficiency in corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, etc.).
- Technical aptitude to review engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Experience with AIAG methods regarding PPAP/ SPC/ MSA
- Certification in ASQ CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma (Preferred)
