Purpose:
On a daily basis directs all warehouse shift employees on policies and processes to ensure flow of material for their location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the distribution and general personnel issues for the location.
- Ensures that safety requirement are being followed and the branch is operating in a safe manner.
- Responsible for the opening and closing of facility, either personally or by direction.
- Responsible for the allocation of work and the direction of all branch personnel.
- Liaison for Branch in all matters involving other locations.
- Directs maintenance operations by:
- Initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
- Resolves maintenance problems by: Conferring with contractors for resolution.
- Protects associates and visitors by: Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensures vehicle standards by: Scheduling preventative maintenance.
- Contributes to team effort by: Participating on improvement teams as required.
- Supports company quality system by: Following, understanding and practicing company policies, procedures and work instructions as described in company quality manual.
- Contributes to company success by: Performing any other functions as assigned and determined by the company. Accepts full responsibility for the quality and complete conformance to agreed upon customer requirements.
Qualifications:
Requires broad knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training. Knowledge of distribution centers a must.
Education and Experience:
- 3 or more years of related distribution management experience required
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in distribution or equivalent field
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Managing all branch associates to ensure the flow of material in and out of branch in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Training Requirements:
- General Safety.
- Quality System Awareness.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
