STAR is a not–for-profit organization serving individuals of all ages who have intellectual/developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families.
STAR seeks a caring and enthusiastic LPN to provide 1:1 nursing services for a delightful young woman with Down Syndrome and Type 1 Diabetes in a community based day program setting. There is no shift work, no mandating and no weekends. It is a consistent and reliable shift that runs from 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Our day program is closed for major holidays allowing you to spend those days with your family and loved ones.

Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate the individuals care during program hours.
- Coordinate with site manager the activities and plan for the day – including recreation and education ( art and cooking classes, yoga, bowling, etc.) based on individuals interests.
- Some transport to/from local activities required.
- Must have a current Connecticut State LPN License.
- Previous experience working with developmentally disabled population is desired.
- Valid Driver's License
