Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Loader to become part of our logistics team. In this role, you will assist with loading, unloading, and organizing freight to ensure shipments are handled safely and delivered on schedule. Your contributions will help maintain efficient warehouse and transportation operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
- Organize, stack, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and inspect items for visible damage.
- Work closely with drivers and warehouse personnel to prepare freight for scheduled deliveries.
- Keep loading docks, work areas, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and established operating procedures.
- Assist with additional warehouse, shipping, or yard duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or freight handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to work in both indoor warehouse settings and outdoor conditions when necessary.
