Duties
- Install, repair, and replace tires on various vehicle types, ensuring proper fitment and safety standards
- Perform routine oil changes and automotive fluid replacements to maintain optimal vehicle operation
- Conduct wheel alignments to improve handling and tire longevity
- Diagnose minor mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and perform basic repairs as needed
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
- Assist with vehicle inspections and identify mechanical or safety concerns requiring further attention
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed and parts used, to ensure quality control
Experience
- Previous dealership or automotive repair shop experience preferred but not required; we value eager learners!
- Mechanic experience with a solid understanding of standard passenger car operation and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and fluid replacement techniques
- Knowledge of tire service procedures including mounting, balancing, and rotation
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and alignment equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs and routine vehicle maintenance
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
