Position Summary
All Star Sports is seeking a motivated and organized Sports Coordinator to assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of tournaments, leagues, and special sporting events held at our facility. This role is essential to ensuring events run smoothly and that teams, coaches, officials, and guests have a positive experience. The Sports Coordinator will also support business development efforts by helping attract new tournaments and event partners to the facility.
This position requires strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment during busy tournament and event schedules.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of sporting tournaments, leagues, and special events.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for coaches, teams, and officials during events.
- Ensure tournaments and games run on schedule by coordinating with referees, scorekeepers, and event staff.
- Provide excellent customer service to teams, spectators, and facility partners.
- Support event setup and breakdown, including fields/courts, signage, equipment, and event materials.
- Help manage event logistics such as team check-in, schedule updates, and communication with participants.
- Assist with promoting and bringing in new tournaments, leagues, and sporting events to the facility.
- Collaborate with management and staff to improve event operations and participant experience.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility environment.
- Perform general operational tasks and assist with additional duties around the property as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in sports, event management, or recreation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly during live events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during tournaments or events.
- Prior experience in sports coordination, event management, or recreation programs is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods during events.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to [25–50] pounds when assisting with event setup.
