HVAC Helper
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Helper to assist a lead technician with preventative maintenance (PM) services. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone eager to learn the trade, develop hands-on skills, and grow within the HVAC industry. The ideal candidate is a fast learner who can anticipate needs, stay organized, and help improve overall job efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unit Preparation amp; Basic Maintenance:
Remove panels and access unit components, clean evaporator and condenser coils, replace or clean filters, and clear debris around HVAC equipment. - Inspection Support:
Assist with system inspections by taking temperature readings, checking belts for wear and proper tension, inspecting visible wiring and connections, and reporting any irregularities to the technician. - Tool amp; Material Management:
Prepare and stage tools and materials prior to job start, retrieve tools and parts as needed during service, and maintain a clean and organized work area. - Documentation Assistance:
Support completion of preventative maintenance checklists, take photos for service records, and track details such as filter sizes and belt specifications. - General Labor Support:
Assist with lifting and carrying equipment and materials as required on job sites.

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude (preferred but not required)
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment
- Reliable and punctual
