Assistant Store Manager

Duties

• Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring all activities align with company policies and standards
• Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, refunds, and pricing adjustments with accuracy and efficiency
• Handle cash handling, cashiering duties, and payroll processing to ensure financial accuracy
• Implement training and development programs for staff to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational procedures

Skills

• Strong leadership abilities with proven supervisory experience in retail or similar environments
• Excellent communication skills for effective managerial communication and team coordination
• Proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, and POS systems
• Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, and pricing strategies to optimize store profitability
• Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Experience with employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training new team members
• Sound knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations for sales, discounts, and budgeting
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks
• Customer service excellence with phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous
• Strong management skills in retail sales team management and operational oversight

Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
