Below, you will find an overview of the instructor role, responsibilities, and qualifications to help you determine if this position is the right fit for you.
❖ Instructors can provide both classroom and/or in-vehicle training
❖ Instructors will facilitate an interactive learning experience through group activity, discussion, and lecture in the classroom
❖ Provide ongoing feedback to both students and parents as the students improve their driving skills
❖ Utilize All Star’s proprietary curriculum, materials, and lesson plans, all of which are provided
❖ Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
❖ Flexible scheduling including weeknights and weekends
❖ Starting pay range is $19.00-$21.00/hour depending on credentials and experience

❖ Candidates must have a safe driving record and pass a background check, standard physical, and drug screen
❖ Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
❖ Successful completion of *Instructor Preparation Program (IPP)*
* What is the Instructor Preparation Program (IPP)?*
The program is structured into four required modules, each consisting of 45 hours of instruction:
- 501: Driver Task Analysis
Focuses on understanding and analyzing the skills, knowledge, and decision-making processes required for safe driving.
- 502: Developing Classroom Instructional Knowledge
Teaches effective classroom teaching methods, lesson planning, communication skills, and instructional strategies.
- 503: Developing Vehicle Operational Skills
Develops advanced driving techniques and the ability to effectively teach behind-the-wheel instruction.
- 504: Student Teaching Practicum
Provides hands-on teaching experience under supervision to apply classroom and in-vehicle instructional skills.
Upon successful completion of all four modules, participants are prepared to meet State requirements for certification as a driver education instructor.
