Skilled Drywall Repair & Patching Technician -- Texture Matching

ALL STAR CONSTRUCTION is seeking an experienced drywall repair and patching specialist based in Garden Grove for customer projects throughout Orange County, California. We value careful repairs that restore damaged walls to a clean, well-matched finish.

PAY & SCHEDULE

Starting at $20.00 per hour. Part-time W-2 employee position. When work is available, we’ll call you to offer a shift. You can accept shifts based on your availability. Work is on-call/as-needed. No guaranteed hours and no mandatory uncompensated standby. All required paid time, reporting-time pay, overtime, and meal/rest rules will be followed. This is not an independent contractor/1099 role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assess and cut out damaged drywall; install backing and replacement gypsum board.

• Tape and apply multiple coats of joint compound; feather and sand edges for seamless transitions.

• Accurately reproduce existing orange-peel, knockdown, and smooth finishes.

• Prime and blend paint when included in the assigned scope.

• Protect floors, furnishings, and occupied areas; control dust and thoroughly clean up.

• Follow project directions, use appropriate PPE and safe work practices, arrive punctually, and communicate professionally at customer sites.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Demonstrated hands-on drywall patching and texture-matching skill. Authentic before/after photos or examples of your own repair work are preferred. Reliable attendance for accepted shifts, attention to detail, safe work habits, and respectful customer-site conduct are essential.

PAID INTRODUCTORY EVALUATION

The first 30 calendar days are a paid introductory performance evaluation covering repair quality and texture matching, reliability, safety, cleanup, and following directions. All work performed is paid. This evaluation does not guarantee 30 days of work, a fixed job term, or any minimum hours; it is not an unpaid trial.
