Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, ensuring correct change and balanced registers
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and the café environment
- Assist with food handling, basic food prep, and serving snacks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Clover
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math for cash handling and retail math tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience in food preparation or food industry roles is a plus but not required
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
