Duties

• Lead daily cheerleading and dance sessions, teaching routines that are age-appropriate and inclusive for all skill levels
• Develop creative choreography that encourages teamwork, coordination, and self-confidence among campers
• Supervise campers during practice, performances, and free time to ensure safety and positive behavior
• Incorporate fun fitness activities such as climbing, martial arts (like Karate or Judo), swimming, or basketball to diversify camp programming
• Manage behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and a supportive camp atmosphere
• Collaborate with other coaches and camp staff to organize performances, competitions, or showcases that highlight camper achievements
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health club and gym safety standards, including basic first aid when necessary

Experience

• Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable
• Background in cheerleading, dance, martial arts (such as Karate or Judo), swimming, or gymnastics is preferred
• Lifeguard experience is a plus for supervising aquatic activities safely
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and skill levels in a childcare or educational setting
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to foster positive camper interactions
• Knowledge of health club or gym safety protocols related to physical activity programs
• Experience in working with students in sports or recreational environments, with a focus on fostering teamwork and confidence
