Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such Jane App
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge related to Medicare and other plans, and perform insurance verification
- Collect payments
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies
- Manage phone systems with excellent phone etiquette while providing outstanding patient service
Requirements
- Proven experience in a office setting, preferably in chiropractic or dental clinics with clinic experience or dental office experience
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of health information management, medical terminology, and medical records management
- Ability to perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and document review efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone communication and office management abilities
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Familiarity with insurance procedures including insurance verification, Medicare processing, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical documentation and health information management
