Smog Technician / Service Writer – Part-Time or Full-Time

Redwood City, CA

We are a busy, family-owned test-only smog station in Redwood City and are currently hiring a Smog Technician. We are also open to hiring a Service Writer.

Smog Technician (Licensed Preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Perform smog inspections in compliance with CA BAR regulations
• Accurately operate OIS / BAR systems
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide professional, efficient customer service

Requirements:

• Valid CA Smog Technician License
• Test-only experience preferred
• Detail-oriented, honest, and reliable
• Able to work efficiently in a steady-volume environment

Schedule:

• Part-time or full-time available

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)

Service Writer (Will Train the Right Person)

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and manage check-ins
• Collect payments and explain services
• Coordinate vehicle flow with the technician
• Basic computer and data entry work

Ideal candidate:

• Comfortable using computers
• Interested in learning the smog industry
