2nd Shift Containment Inspector (Quality)

Position Summary

Visually inspect parts based on OQI, PPH and containment instructions. This includes match to good part samples, label correctness. The quality containment inspector will be responsible to seal all boxes as required that he / she inspects. Scanning and moving product from locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The quality inspector will be the initial person responsible for the quality of parts being inspected.
• Communication of standards and deviations of those standards within the department as well as customer driven standards.
• Make determination of parts deemed acceptable to ship.
• Inspects, Records findings, using tablet to alert team of defects, rejecting unactable product.
• May require using equipment for measuring.
• The use of a pallet jack to move product.
• Standing, Bending, and lifting.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• IQMS software.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

• This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining positive associate relations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other employees.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.10 per hour
