Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Shop Foreman to lead our team of 4 people in a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes and project managing a team; as well as setting an positive example for the others.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the shop team to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Build and maintain project schedules using tools such as ProCore, Primavera, and HeavyBid.
- Implement quality control measures to uphold high standards in all projects.
- Review schematics and project plans to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular safety inspections in accordance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Proficient in project management software including ProCore, Primavera, Prolog, and HeavyBid. Or able to learn and pick up quickly.
- Familiarity with interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
