Key Responsibilities
- Helping with day-to-day accounting tasks like data entry, invoicing, and reconciling accounts.
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system and maintain organized, accurate records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closings, working closely with the team to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and reports with precision and attention to detail.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with vendors, clients, and internal teams, fostering strong working relationships.
- Support expense reporting, budgeting, and audits as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage experience a plus!).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- A team player who works well in a collaborative environment and supports shared goals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office setting with standard working hours. Occasional overtime may be required during month-end or year-end closings. We value teamwork, accountability, and a supportive environment where every team member contributes to the success of the department.
