We are seeking skilled Composite Technicians to join our team.
The ideal candidate will understand the materials, equipment, and processes involved in transforming raw materials into molded composite parts. You should be comfortable working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and similar materials, and be able to prepare, cut, lay up, and assemble components for molding.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record serial numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, operational quantities, and other required data for each job.
- Complete all job-related documentation, such as job travelers, move tickets, and traceability paperwork.
- Read and follow travelers and engineered drawings to produce high-quality parts.
- Perform required cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Understand and follow visual inspection standards.
- Read prints and use standard measuring tools.
- Properly hand-cut or trim materials to size when needed.
- Prepare and assemble foam and components using adhesives or other approved methods to ensure proper fit and function.
- Operate resin pumps for infusion processes.
- Visually inspect cured parts for defects or inconsistencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of shop workflow processes.
- Basic knowledge of PDM Works (preferred, but not required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
