We are seeking an energetic and experienced Landscaping Foreman to lead our outdoor maintenance and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial landscaping, with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience managing crews and executing high-quality grounds maintenance. This role involves supervising team members, coordinating various landscaping tasks, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to client specifications. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscaping crews on commercial grounds maintenance, and landscape enhancement projects
- Oversee daily operations including planting, pruning, and grounds upkeep
- Coordinate construction projects, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met throughout all phases
- Manage crew schedules, assign tasks effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools
- Identify plants accurately for proper care and maintenance; troubleshoot irrigation issues; perform routine repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during outdoor work activities
Experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial landscaping experience with a proven track record in supervising teams
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, hardscape installation, and horticulture principles
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing crew members and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with irrigation systems management and troubleshooting in outdoor settings
- Experience operating grounds maintenance equipment safely; construction experience is a plus
- Ability to identify various plants and ground cover species confidently; outdoor work experience required
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles preferred
