Job Summary:
As a team member, the Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated instruction to students and for serving as a homeroom teacher. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic values into the curriculum and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to excel academically and grow in their faith.
Responsibilities:
? Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
? Act as a witness to the Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
? Plan and deliver standards-based instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
? Differentiate instruction to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
? Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to engage students in learning.
? Assess student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
? Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Catholic values and principles into the curriculum.
? Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and spiritual development.
? Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and achievements.
? Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field.
? Valid teaching certification in the State of Texas.
? Experience teaching science at the elementary level (experience in a Catholic school preferred).
? Strong knowledge of relevant subject content, pedagogy, and instructional strategies.
? Ability to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of diverse learners.
? Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
? Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school.
