Job Summary
We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards, as well as the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools and equipment. Pay will be based on experience. Fire Sprinkler Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Install fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on existing systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning sprinkler systems as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine system layout and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, Lifts and other machinery for installation and repairs.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as work permits, with possibilty of On-Call.
Skills
- Proficient in grooving and pipe threading techniques.
- Identify/Conform to fire protection codes and standards.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective system installation.
- Valid Drivers License.
- OSHA 10 preferred.
- Dedicated to quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
