Duties
- Safely operate rollback tow trucks and flatbed vehicles to load, secure, and transport vehicles with precision.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles to facilitate smooth recovery operations.
- Follow cargo securement protocols rigorously to ensure vehicles are transported safely without damage or risk.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after towing to identify mechanical issues or damages.
- Execute vehicle recovery towing with expertise in car towing, mechanical diagnostics, and safe vehicle loading techniques.
- Manage load & unload processes efficiently while adhering to safety standards for cargo securement and vehicle handling.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate timely vehicle recoveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work with a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving and flatbed or tow truck operation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, basic vehicle troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with cargo securement protocols, safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, and vehicle recovery towing procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior experience with car towing, load & unload operations, and safe driving practices for commercial trucks is highly desirable.
