Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to foster holistic development.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that support early intervention strategies and cater to diverse learning needs, including special education students.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for toddlers through preschool-aged children.
- Employ effective behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children.
- Monitor and assess individual progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction and support each child's growth.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support child welfare and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental progress, and classroom incidents while adhering to licensing standards and best practices in childcare.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching physical education or literacy education.
- Knowledge of early intervention techniques, special education accommodations, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool experience or toddler care programs is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
