Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician - Shop Supervisor to oversee automotive repair. This pivotal role requires a strong background in automotive repair, supervision, and technical expertise to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of automotive repair, project scheduling, and shop management, with proven leadership and supervisory skills. This position offers an opportunity to lead technicians on complex projects, major repairs and routine maintenance.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations.
- Manage project schedules using Mitchell 1, Shopkey and other automotive shop management software to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee shop operations and personnel, providing guidance, training, and supervision to maintain high performance standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections.
- Utilize tools such as automotive scan tools for testing and troubleshooting.
- Monitor project budgets, track progress, and report on key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including OSHA standards; conduct safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
- Assist in repair estimating, resource planning, and procurement activities as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive management with a focus on supervising and troubleshooting automotive issues.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in automotive management software including Shop Key and Mitchell 1 and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, quality control procedures, and technician management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with prior supervising experience in an automotive environment.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple technicians effectively under tight deadlines.

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
