Position Overview:
The Auto Body Shop Manager will oversee daily shop operations, manage workflow, and lead a team of technicians to ensure repairs are completed on time and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and hands-on industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians and shop staff
- Coordinate and optimize incoming workflow to prevent bottlenecks
- Ensure vehicles move efficiently through all stages of repair
- Inspect parts upon arrival to verify accuracy and quality
- Maintain and enforce shop systems, processes, and procedures
- Perform quality control checks on completed repairs
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and insurance adjusters
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service
- Monitor productivity and maintain shop performance standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in auto body shop management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of auto body repair processes and materials
- Experience working with insurance claims and adjusting
- Ability to identify workflow issues and implement solutions
- Strong attention to detail and quality control standards
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license required
