Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vessels and marine systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows engines, electrical, and mechanical systems—and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gas and diesel marine engines (inboard, outboard, sterndrive)
- Perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems, HVAC, fuel systems, and plumbing
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
- Conduct routine service: oil changes, impellers, filters, tune-ups
- Install and service marine components and accessories
- Complete service reports and communicate clearly with management and clients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Perform both in-shop and dockside/mobile service work
Requirements
- 3 years experience as a marine technician or similar mechanical role
- Strong knowledge of marine engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yanmar preferred)
- Electrical troubleshooting experience (12V/24V systems)
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Valid driver’s license (clean record preferred)
- Own basic tools (specialty tools are a plus)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in marine environments
Preferred (Not Required, But Valued)
- Certifications (ABYC, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, etc.)
- Experience with diagnostic software and modern marine electronics
- Welding, fabrication, or fiberglass repair experience
- Experience with commercial vessels or larger yachts
