Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transportation Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations by coordinating and dispatching drivers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers to various locations.
- Monitor vehicle locations and status to ensure optimal route efficiency.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and address any issues.
- Handle scheduling, route planning, and re-routing as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and vehicle logs.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
