Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing frameworks for various building projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. This role requires a strong understanding of framing techniques, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. The Framer will play a crucial part in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our projects, working closely with project managers and other trades to meet deadlines and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Erect metal buildings, including framing and structural supports
- Install concrete forms and assist with concrete finishing tasks
- Perform rebar installation to reinforce concrete structures
- Execute masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, and stone
- Operate welding equipment for steel framing and repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for framing, trimming, siding, roofing, and other carpentry tasks
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment as needed on-site
- Assist with remodeling, restoration, siding installation, stucco application, and roofing projects
- Work with construction management teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure safety compliance
- Operate heavy equipment when required for site preparation or material handling
Experience
- Proven experience in metal building erection, frame carpentry, or related construction fields
- Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, siding, and stucco work
- Skilled in welding, woodworking, drywall finishing, plastering, and trim carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for various construction tasks
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Prior hands-on experience in remodeling or restoration projects is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights if necessary
