Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, and tankers to support construction activities.
- Transport construction materials including gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris to designated locations on-site or between sites.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on dump trucks and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating and excavation tasks using appropriate machinery like backhoes and horizontal drilling equipment.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during daily operations.
- Support site grading, paving, and excavation activities by operating heavy equipment like loaders, graders, or excavators as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, inspections, maintenance activities, and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on construction-related transportation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on dump trucks and associated machinery.
- Familiarity with construction site operations including utility locating, excavation, grading, paving, and heavy equipment operation such as dozers and backhoes.
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to equipment safety procedures at all times.
- Ability to operate various construction machinery including loaders, excavators (such as Caterpillar models), graders, water trucks, tankers, dozers, backhoes, horizontal drilling equipment, and paving machinery.
- Construction site experience demonstrating understanding of safety protocols and utility work procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating dump trucks and related heavy equipment.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including loading/unloading materials and working in outdoor environments for extended periods.
