Shipping and Receiving Associate
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility. This role ensures that shipments are prepared, packaged, documented, and dispatched accurately and on time, while also verifying and recording incoming deliveries. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is Mon-Thurs, 8 am - 5pm and Friday, 8 am -2:30 pm.
What would you do?
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming shipments and deliveries.
- Verify accuracy of orders against packing lists, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements.
- Construct (measure, cut, and assemble) wooden pallets according to company specifications.
- Load and unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts/stock checks.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipping schedules and discrepancies.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment safely .
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines .
Do you have?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of shipping software, ERP/WMS systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience using circular saws, nail guns, and electric drills.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Valid drivers license.
Benefits:
- $22 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
