Host & Social Media Content Creator

Overview:

We are a family-owned and operated local diner seeking an energetic, outgoing Host & Social Media Content Creator to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our diner, not just to the guests who walk through our physical front door, but also to our digital community online. You will balance traditional hosting duties with capturing daily, eye-catching social media content (photos, reels, and behind-the-scenes clips) during your shifts to help grow our local online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly as they enter the diner and provide a positive first impression. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Content Creation: Proactively capture high-quality photos and short-form videos (for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) during shifts—such as mouth-watering food shots, kitchen action clips, or upbeat interactions, without disrupting the flow of service.
• Seating Management: Manage the waitlist and seating chart to ensure efficient guest flow and timely seating. Escort guests to tables and assist servers with arrangements.
• Front-of-House Support: Answer phone calls regarding menu items and hours. Assist guests with payments and cash-out procedures.
• Dining Room Care: Bus, clean, and reset tables promptly. Refill beverages and provide additional support to guests to enhance their dining experience.
• Teamwork: Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management regarding guest needs and dining room operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front-of-house areas.

Qualifications:

• Social Media Savvy: Strong familiarity with creating engaging, trendy content on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook. A good eye for framing food photography and quick video editing.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, a vibrant personality, and a positive, professional appearance.
• Operational Skills: Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Mindset: Team-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to assist coworkers as needed.

Availability & Schedule:

• Weekend availability is required.
• Typical shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM (prime diner hours for capturing busy, exciting content).
• Additional hours may be available based on business needs and employee availability.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, reach, and carry trays, dishes, and bus tubs.
• May require occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
