What are the responsibilities and job description for the #1737 | Blaster 1 - 2nd Shift position at All Metals Processing of Orange County?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Blaster is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and finishing metal or other surfaces using abrasive blasting equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment to clean, smooth, or prepare surfaces.
• Perform routine maintenances and cleaning of blasting equipment.
• Visually inspect completed work to ensure surfaces meet required finish standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to safety regulations.
• Follow all safety protocols including use of PPE.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform visual quality inspections.
ITAR REQUIREMENT:
Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Sitting/Standing for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Comfortable working in protective gear.
• Good hand and eye coordination and movement.
