#1710 | Planner 1 - 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision the primary responsibility of the Planner is to accurately and timely interpret customer purchase orders according to blue prints or other specifications and plan job ticket travelers for production. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Read and interpret customer purchase orders and verify information is correct and complete.

•    Plans basic and routine jobs based on purchase order, blue prints, and engineering document requirements.

•    Process production changes to job ticket travelers.

•    Follow and apply customer notes, planning notes, pop-ups and customer clauses within planning software

•    Research and understand engineering specification, material element composition and meeting NDT process sequence requirements. 

•    Perform Contract Review upon completion of planning a job ticket. 

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 

•    Ability to work in a fast paced work environment

•    Ability to concentrate with distractions and multi-task

•    Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a computer workstation.

•    Support of Cof C (Certification) Completion 

•    Previous metal finishing planning experience preferred. 

•    Perform other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


•  Ability to communicate, read and write in English.  


• Ability to follow precise instructions.  


• Must have good vision and detail oriented; has limited knowledge and ability to analyze and problem solve purchase orders, blueprint notes and specifications with limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
