What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Associate position at All Metals Industries, Inc.?
PURPOSE:
The main purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties involved in providing clean, correct, and accurate metal certifications and Certificates of Compliance for customers. This position includes maintaining inventory records to ensure accurate records of stock on hand, among other data entry related tasks and back up to answering incoming calls to the business. This position reports to the Inventory Department Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Scan metal certifications from our vendors into the computer
· Remove any unnecessary information from the certifications before uploading it to our database for future use
· Type up Certificates of Compliance for all work orders requiring certs
· Research, prepare, and email material certification packets for customer deliveries.
· Must be able to understand and properly navigate our ERP system
· Receive stock into the ERP system, and verify against the purchase order
· Use the shearing/cutting module in our ERP system to process work orders
· Assist in managing transfers of material between warehouses
· Back-up receptionist for incoming calls (transfer to necessary department)
· Proofread work orders, as necessary
· Assist with problems with inventory caused by such things as incorrect work orders, damaged material or customer returns
· Other duties as assigned
PRE-REQUISITES:
We would prefer a candidate with most (or all) of the following experience or qualifications.
· Any experience in the metal/steel industry
· 45 WPM
· Experience with phone systems, placing calls on hold, transferring calls, using a phone switchboard or console
· Proficient with the Windows 11 Operating System (Copying/moving files, creating folders, navigating windows explorer, etc.)
· Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
· Ability to use a document scanner and related software
· The ability to multi-task and prioritize items by importance
· Customer service experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
